Exterior Timber Restoration & Recoating – Rich Mahogany Finish
This project involved the full preparation, restoration and protection of the property’s exterior timber features, including the decorative gable cladding, entrance canopy, fascia’s, soffits, window surrounds and exposed structural timbers.
All timber surfaces were thoroughly cleaned, prepared and sanded to remove weathering, surface contamination and any degraded coating. Particular attention was given to preserving the character of the timber while creating a smooth, uniform substrate for refinishing.
Once prepared, the timber was treated with Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 Plus in Rich Mahogany, a premium high-build translucent wood stain renowned for its exceptional durability, UV resistance and long-term weather protection. Multiple coats were applied to achieve a rich, consistent finish that enhances the natural grain of the timber while providing a deep, elegant mahogany appearance.
The completed works have dramatically refreshed the property’s exterior, restoring depth of colour and definition to the architectural timber features while delivering a robust protective coating designed to withstand the elements for years to come.
